I'm Ramsey Said, a designer living in coastal Marin County, north of San Francisco. After decades of hearing my last name mispronounced, and to avoid any confusion with my professional work, I chose to use Ram Seaside for my personal sketches and Cyeed for my personal photography.

In 2022, amid COVID and a career almost exclusively using computer design tools, I felt the need to find a new non-digital creative outlet. So, I began sketching using traditional artist tools, such as nib ink pens and charcoal sticks, and was surprised to discover how much I enjoyed it.

My sketch subjects are taken from my travels, hikes, and everyday life. Some are completed on location, others are drawn from the thousands of photos I've taken over the years.
The goal of this site is to gather and share my favorite sketches in one place. I also want to pass along what I've learned while creating them. I aim to continually replace the sketches featured here as my skills improve. I currently have no plans to sell originals or prints, but I'm open to collaborating on interesting projects.
